AVA reviewed Tesco own brand and other branded products across frozen, chilled and ambient food and non-food categories.  Discussion with internal departments highlighted required information from diverse parts of the business and different systems.


AVA established packaging and identification rules for suppliers to enable the right product to be processed through the system from depot to the right store to the right aisle to the shelf and the right location on shelf in the right time.  The project focused upon minimising costs and wastage.  AVA produced presentation boards and guideline documents that Tesco used to present and implement the changes to all its suppliers in a series of supplier days.

In a separate project AVA established merchandising principles for Health & Beauty – the advent of shelf-ready packaging.
